Role: Scrum Master (Contract)
Location: Galway City, Hybrid
You will combine deep Scrum knowledge with a strong enthusiasm for coaching, mentoring, and continuous improvement. Working within a highly collaborative squad, you'll advise, mentor, coach, and train the team on agile values, practices, and processes to speed up the squad's delivery of value. Together with the squad leader you'll keep the backlog up to date, help remove impediments, and facilitate agile ceremonies such as the daily stand-up, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives. You'll coordinate release management activities, take part in scaling ceremonies, and manage interdependencies across squads and tribes. You will review and drive team performance using metrics and identify opportunities for the squad to fully benefit from an agile way of working.
Your Expertise & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree or undergraduate degree preferred.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) required.
• Jira experience.
• Product Management / Delivery Management experience.
• Release Management experience.
• Three to five years' experience as a Scrum Master.
• Understanding of and experience working with Scrum and Kanban teams.

• A proven change agent capable of coaching agile practices to teams and individuals across different functions, experience levels, and geographies as they navigate new or unfamiliar situations.
• Strong facilitation skills and the ability to work with the team to generate solutions that remove obstacles and accelerate value delivery.
• Intellectual curiosity and a passion for learning new skills, modelling a culture of continuous learning, mentoring, and coaching.
• JIRA Align experience preferred.
The Value you will deliver:
• Collaborate with squad and chapter leaders to enable delivery of the squad's mission through well-executed sprints.
• Improve overall squad performance, efficiency, and delivered value; identify opportunities to raise agile maturity and metrics while providing coaching, training, and resources.
• Maintain and update squad performance artifacts and metrics (e.g., burn-down charts) to provide clear, accurate feedback to squad members and transparency for partners.
• Manage and coordinate logistics for, and participate in, agile ceremonies (e.g., backlog prioritization, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives and, as appropriate, scrum of scrum masters).
• Support the adoption and consistent use of enabling tools (e.g., Jira, Mural, MS Teams).
