Plumbing Sales Assistant - Sligo

Principle Objective

The role of Plumbing Sales Assistant - Sligo is to provide our customers with a knowledgeable, friendly, and dependable service while optimizing branch sales and gross profit. The role involves promoting the company's products and services professionally and delivering superior customer care to existing customers.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Previous experience in a busy builder's providers is preferable
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales and margin targets
  • Good knowledge of Plumbing and Heating products
  • Previous sales experience is an advantage
  • IT literacy

Key Responsibilities

  • Build effective relationships with customers to understand their requirements and supply the correct products
  • Identify sales opportunities and offer advice and solutions to maximize profitable sales and margins
  • Achieve sales and margin targets
  • Maintain a clean and well-merchandised counter area according to company policy
  • Follow company policies when handling sales paperwork
  • Manage re-orders and stock levels of Plumbing and Heating products
  • Liaise with suppliers as necessary
  • Support the Branch Manager and team to operate efficiently within company policies
  • Maintain a tidy working environment in line with health and safety guidelines
  • Actively prevent theft and ensure security
  • Perform other duties as required by the company

Contract Type

  • Temporary, full-time 39-hour contract
  • Working week Monday to Friday, with possible Saturday roster
