Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Construction Technical Executive/Project Engineer to join a team supporting Ireland's national Climate Action Plan, with a specific focus on domestic retrofit schemes. The role involves technical and administrative support for the day-to-day operations of domestic energy grant schemes, helping to deliver energy efficiency improvements across Irish homes.

This position is ideal for a recent graduate or someone looking to transition from fieldwork to a more office-based role. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and respond to queries from contractors, applicants, and members of the public.
  • Liaise with stakeholders including field staff and scheme administrators.
  • Assist with the processing of technical appeals and rework cases.
  • Handle technical calls regarding inspections and contractor queries.
  • Compile and support the preparation of weekly and monthly reports.
  • Attend regular meetings related to scheme performance and delivery.
  • Offer technical input for field-based staff where needed.
Qualifications
  • Degree, trade qualification, or equivalent in Construction, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Strong IT and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Good judgement and ability to resolve customer queries effectively.
  • High motivation and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to adapt to evolving program requirements.
