Director & Head of Financial Services at EMPOWERMENT Financial Recruitment

EMPOWERMENT is delighted to partner with a leading Fintech firm to hire a talented Big-Four trained accountant. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on support over international technical accounting and reporting and will involve researching technical accounting matters, drafting related position papers, preparation and review of financial statements, special projects and managing relationships with external auditors.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the production and review of statutory financial statements under IFRS and other applicable international frameworks
  • Managing the full audit cycle for both group and local entities
  • Supporting CFO and board-level reporting by providing insight into financial results, technical matters, and accounting for complex and judgmental transactions
  • Conducting in-depth technical accounting research, drafting position papers, and advising on complex transactions, particularly in areas of investments, M&A, group restructures and other areas
  • Monitoring developments in IFRS and similar frameworks, contributing to strategic initiatives including IPP readiness

Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or similar discipline
  • Big Four Trained (ACA/ACCA/CPA) with minimum of 3+ years' PQE (Manager/Senior Manager level)
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of IFRS
  • Superior communication skills and ability to network at all levels of an organisation
