Overview

Senior Systems Analyst role within Fidelity Ireland, part of the Fidelity Institutional Wealth Mgmt. Services group. Galway-based team responsible for delivering features for the Wealthscape product, collaborating with business and system teams to define requirements and ensure the product satisfies business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Review business requirements, conduct systems requirements and capability analysis, and contribute to solution design.
  • Collaborate with business partners and the development team to translate requirements into design and implementation opportunities.
  • Lead and facilitate the process of gathering business requirements through interviews or group sessions and generate detailed business requirements and user stories.
  • Develop user definitions, use cases, and workflow diagrams to illustrate business problems.
  • Present findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders; participate in formal presentations to various management levels.
  • Work within a high-performing team and communicate effectively with technology partners to understand and refine requirements.
  • Ensure alignment of design specifications with project objectives, timelines, and use cases; maintain knowledge of the domain.
Qualifications & Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in a systems analyst role.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to develop business and systems requirements, user interface design, data modeling, systems designs, and systems interface specifications.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience with or knowledge of web technology or service-oriented architecture is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to understand business needs and map them to digital solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and familiarity with Agile best practices.
What You Will Deliver
  • Translate business requirements for large projects and minor enhancements into systems design specifications.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure that system design requirements are understood and implemented.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the domain and contribute to project objectives and timelines.
Role Context

The role is aligned to the Institutional Wealth Mgmt. Services (IWMS) area, supporting solutions in the Registered Investment Advisors (RIA) and correspondent clearing marketplace. The engineering team provides software engineering, application development, project management, systems analysis, and production support for flagship applications. The Ireland presence includes Dublin and Galway, with opportunities for collaboration.
