Join our fabulous team at The Plaza Hotel as Accommodation Assistant. The Accommodation Assistant is an important position working closely with the Accommodation Manager & Accommodation Supervisors.

About The Plaza Hotel

The Plaza Hotel Dublin has 122 well-appointed ensuite bedrooms, state of the art conference facilities and excellent cuisine. The hotel has been refurbished recently, offering new eateries, 122 bedrooms and several event spaces for conferences and events of all sizes.

Primary Objective Of Position

You will be responsible for cleaning, servicing and maintaining guest bedrooms and public areas to an approved standard, helping to create a pleasant and memorable stay for all guests.

Responsibilities, Duties And Responsibilities
  • Arrive on duty and identify areas to be serviced or cleaned as stipulated by Accommodation Management.
  • Follow established company standards per standard operating procedures.
  • Clean and maintain all public areas.
  • Operate vehicles safely and according to instructions.
  • Clean and care for departmental equipment and storage areas.
  • Clean corridors including glass (fire doors).
  • Conduct deep cleaning service as per SOPs and frequency.
  • Report maintenance defects or issues affecting guest experience or safety.
  • Provide in-room amenities such as water, gifts, fruit, etc., as per standards and protocols.
  • Ensure guests' privacy and comfort requests are addressed immediately.
  • Remove and dispose of wet waste, glass and recyclables safely and appropriately.
  • Attend weekly meetings or briefings as required by Accommodation Management.
  • Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests.
  • Communicate effectively with all team members.
  • Adhere to all systems and procedures in place.
  • Work varying schedules (day, evening and/or weekend shifts) to reflect business needs.
  • Participate in training programmes as required.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience as an Accommodation Assistant in a 4* hotel setting.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Positive and flexible approach to work (weekend work will be required).
  • Proof of eligibility to work in Ireland.
