Overview

Oversight Control & Governance Manager (18 months contract)

Universal Investment is seeking an entrepreneurial professional to join our Oversight Control & Governance (OCG) team. The role involves managing and coordinating the OCG function to ensure effective oversight across delegation/outsourcing arrangements and regulatory compliance.

Your tasks and responsibilities
  • Complete AML/KYC checks on new business partners.
  • Review documentation provided by delegates/outsourcing partners (e.g., questionnaires and ISAE reports) on an initial and annual basis.
  • Assist in coordinating periodic service reviews/due diligence meetings with UI group and third-party service providers, including on-site/desktop visits.
  • Ensure KPIs are completed by delegates/outsourcing service providers and communicated to senior management on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensure the timely completion of due diligence on new and existing delegation/outsourcing arrangements.
  • Maintain up-to-date questionnaires and outsourcing registers in line with regulatory and industry standards.
  • Keep OCG documentation, including relevant policies and procedures, up to date.
  • Manage the UII OCG resources on a day-to-day basis.
  • Coordinate the due diligence process for all delegation/outsourcing parties.
  • Facilitate regular communication and information exchange with specialist departments, management, fund boards, outsourcing partners, and the group.
  • Coordinate with UI Group to ensure alignment in oversight activities.
  • Implement new practices and processes where necessary.
  • Attend client/depositary/incoming due diligence meetings from an OCG perspective.
  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks as required.
Your skills and experience
  • University degree or equivalent.
  • Four to five years' professional experience in the Irish investment fund industry and/or credit institution or consulting firm.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a managerial/supervisory role.
  • Practical experience in a comparable position.
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements in the area of oversight.
  • Strong teamwork, motivation, reliability, resilience and a service-oriented approach.
