Overlooking the historic town square, Gleeson's Townhouse is a lovingly restored 19th-century guesthouse offering superior and standard rooms, including two luxury suites. Guests enjoy free secure on-site parking and complimentary internet access. The fully licensed Manse Restaurant and Gleeson's Café offer locally sourced, organic, sustainable food. The Townhouse also provides private conference, party, and intimate wedding facilities.

Are you a pro-active and experienced Restaurant Manager with a zest for your job and a desire for perfection? We're looking for someone just like you to join our dedicated team atGleeson's Roscommon, a family-run and award-winning restaurant located in the heart of Roscommon Town.

It's a busy and rewarding position overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. You'll work closely with the Director to ensure a seamless guest experience and the highest standards of service. You will need to hit the ground running, so solid previous experience is absolutely essential.

You'll be joining a happy team with a great attitude to work in a bustling town with a great atmosphere and community spirit. If you're relocating to Roscommon we can offer short term temporary accommodation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the front-of-house team to deliver outstanding customer service at all times
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations and coordinate staffing schedules
  • Manage stock control and ordering processes
  • Plan and implement efficient staff rosters with an emphasis on job rotation and team flexibility
  • Ensure full compliance with HACCP standards and maintain high levels of food safety, hygiene, and presentation
  • Supervise, train, and motivate staff to achieve performance goals
  • Collaborate with the operations and reservations teams to ensure smooth service
  • Engage with key guests and clients to maintain strong relationships and service excellence

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a restaurant management role with a successful track record
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid understanding of the food and hospitality industry

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From €35,000 - €40,000 Per annum DOE

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
