About Kids Inc. We provide Early Years and Afterschool Care services. With over 25 years of experience in the childcare industry, we are one of the most established organizations operating across Ireland. Our goal is to extend children's daily learning by involving them in a wide range of sports and creative programs, with a strict 'No Screen Time' policy. Kids Inc operates 4 Creches and Preschool services in Dublin and hosts over 60 onsite Breakfast and Afterschool Care programs nationwide.

Due to rapid expansion, we are looking for a new Area Manager to join our team in the Dublin area. We are seeking kind, enthusiastic, and dedicated individuals who can lead a team and be ambassadors for Kids Inc Principles.

The Role

  • Managing the daily operations of our after-school programs across different sites within your area.
  • Supporting and guiding a team of Managers and staff, ensuring they are well-trained and confident in their roles.
  • Helping to create fun, creative, and educational activities that meet the needs of the children.
  • Ensuring that all safety and safeguarding guidelines are followed.
  • Building positive relationships with parents, school staff, and local communities.
  • Visiting the different locations regularly to check centres meet our high standards.
  • Assisting with staff recruitment and training strategy.
  • Keeping track of budgets, resources, and operational matters across the area.
  • Addressing concerns from parents or staff in a caring and timely manner.
  • Overall responsibility for 5-8 afterschool centres.

Your Profile

Essential Skills And Experience

  • Previous experience in a leadership or management role, ideally in childcare or after-school programs.
  • Minimum of Level 6 Childcare qualification (or similar field).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and commitment to providing a nurturing environment.
  • Fluent English speaker. Strong communication and a friendly, approachable leadership style.
  • A proactive problem-solver who can manage multiple tasks while staying calm under pressure.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding practices and child welfare.
  • Garda vetting and reference checks required for child safety.

Desirable Qualification

  • A full clean and valid driver's license.
  • Confidence in speaking the Irish Language

All successful candidates will need to go through Garda Vetting and provide a valid Police Certificate (for applicants who have lived outside Ireland for more than 6 months since age 18).
