Job Description

The Business Process Lead plays a key role on the global Business Process Transformation (BPT) team within Alter Domus' COO organization. This role involves working with internal and external stakeholders to review existing business processes and implement new solutions that meet business and client objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the global business product roadmap and help deliver strategic objectives.
  • Engage with internal operations and technology partners to define and document business requirements and features, identifying inefficiencies or risks.
  • Provide input on solutions, alternatives, and prioritization to maximize business value and optimize capabilities.
  • Coordinate with technology and operations stakeholders to iterate on processes and conduct development, testing, and readiness activities.
  • Support implementations to ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Represent the business in requirements gathering to translate into technical solutions, integrations, system designs, tests, transformation, and reports.
  • Create and update project artifacts (process flows, BRDs, user guides) and ensure technical artifacts (tasks, boards, user stories, test cases, release notes) are up to date.
  • Challenge newly defined processes or developments to identify and resolve issues.
  • Facilitate information-sharing sessions with clients, employees, and team members as needed.
  • Monitor the success of updated workflows and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Additional responsibilities related to the role as required.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skillsets
  • Experience in business process transformation and new workflow development; experience with Pega or similar BPM tools is a plus.
  • 3–10 years in financial services, with a background in alternative investment management, fund administration, or consulting; strong experience in private equity, private debt/credit, and real estate.
  • Experience with Agile, traditional project management, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proven success leading large or complex transformation projects from initiation to implementation.
  • Data modeling and design understanding (conceptual and logical).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to translate business and technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Analytical, data-driven problem-solving and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with system integration and data mapping.
  • Attention to detail and quality assurance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft, process/workflow, and collaboration tools.
  • Understanding of Change Management strategies for business transformation.
Preferred Background
  • Background in alternative investment fund administration, either with an investment manager or administrator in an operations role, or consulting focused on alternatives.
  • Experience on business process transformation projects, including reviewing and documenting current state processes.
  • Positive, proactive demeanor and ability to collaborate to define new processes that meet business objectives.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and to lead across projects and teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement; excellent communication at all levels.
Education
  • Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Science (B.S.), or equivalent experience.
