Due to continued growth and expansion in the Galway area, Comfort Homecare is recruiting additional Health Care Assistants to support our Galway team.

Driving is essential

We offer the most competitive rates starting at €15 per hour, with higher rates on Sundays. Additional pay includes €10 for half-hour calls plus a travel allowance of 41c per km. We also offer additional benefits.

Healthcare Assistants are needed for both part-time and full-time roles in the Galway area to help clients remain safely and happily in their own homes. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a company that values its staff highly.

The successful candidate must:

  • Hold QQI Level 5 in Care Skills and Care of the Elderly
  • Be fully reliable and dependable
  • Possess a full clean driver's license and use of your own vehicle
  • Be flexible with a can-do attitude
  • Have a caring and kind disposition, providing a person-centred approach to clients
  • Possess good communication and practical skills
  • Have some experience and training (desirable)
  • Be available for weekend and evening work

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing high standards of emotional, social, and personal care to clients
  • Adhering to all company policies
  • Accurate record-keeping
  • Participating in ongoing training and upskilling
  • Implementing clients' care plans
  • Providing practical and emotional support professionally

Job Type: Part-time / Full-time

Part-time hours: 18-40 per week

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Weekend availability
  • Flexible hours

Experience:

  • HCA 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Certificate in Care Skills or Healthcare Support (desirable)
  • Full clean driver's license (required)
