Position: Business Development Manager – Ireland

Reports to: Sales Manager UK & Ireland

Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead our sales efforts in Ireland. This role will focus on developing and executing strategies to increase sales, build customer relationships, and achieve overall business objectives. The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

Key Accountabilities:

  • Grow and develop the Cubis sales activities in Ireland across Water, Telecoms, Rail & Power sectors.
  • Managing a portfolio of accounts to achieve both short & long-term success
  • Identifying key trends, opportunities, and risks for the business and communicate to line manager to resolve
  • Develop positive relationships with customers and grow business in emerging markets
  • Acting as one the key points of contact for the customer
  • Innovate through working with external partners, customers and internal product development and technical teams to create new products that our customers require
  • Regular engagement with all aspects of the customers business
  • Processing and dealing with the day-to-day requirements of the customers
  • Maintaining existing business and generate new business using your knowledge and networking skills
  • Resolving conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner
  • Gain commitment and trust for Cubis to work in partnership with clients within the sector for future projects
  • Successfully partner with other sector managers within the commercial team and across the business
  • Reporting regularly on the status of accounts and transactions
  • Provide market information feedback to the Marketing and Product Development departments
  • Providing sector knowledge and training to customers and the internal organization
  • Ownership of the business development activities within the sector
  • Winning product specification opportunities in the sector
  • Provision of training on products and solutions as required to contractors, consultants

Associated Responsibilities:

  • Setting and track sales account targets, aligned with company objectives
  • Monitoring sales metrics (monthly/quarterly sales results and monthly/annual forecasts)
  • Suggesting actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth
  • Liaising with other departments, as required, across the organisation to achieve effective operations of the sector
  • Gain knowledge of the manufacturing arm of the business
  • All other duties as deemed necessary by the Sales Manager UK & Ireland

Experience and Training:

  • Track record in dealing with asset owners, designers and contractors through to procurement
  • Experience in identifying and delivering new business opportunities
  • Understanding of frameworks and contracts
  • Seasoned presentation & communication skills
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Proficient use of CRM systems
  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs in English and Maths, or equivalent.
  • Candidate must have experience working in a technical specification sales role, within the manufacturing or building materials industry.
