This hybrid position will be located in Titusville, New Jersey. Alternate hybrid locations may be considered at other IM Supply Chain hubs.

Overview

As a member of the IM Transcend Team and the Value Chain Management (VCM) organization, the Senior Manager will enable integration across IM & J&J functions to develop solutions that support end-to-end organization requirements while maintaining ERP template integrity. They will lead the trade controls design within the overall end-to-end business process design and integration, and drive standardization of core business capabilities, products, and integration points across functional areas. They will partner with IM and J&J stakeholder groups to understand current and future needs, benchmark, document processes, and deploy products through programs. They will use a multi-functional tool-set of business, technical, and digital skills to interact with a broad set of stakeholders and process owners, and will engage with program teams at execution level as well as senior leadership at a strategic level.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with global stakeholders across Trade, Supply Chain, Compliance, and IT to gather detailed business requirements.
• Lead workshops, interviews, and validation sessions to understand current trade processes and identify gaps.
• Analyze and prioritize business needs, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and global trade policies.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, adaptable system templates to support multiple regions.
• Define system architecture and configuration specifications ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
• Develop standardized templates and workflows to streamline trade operations, documentation, and reporting.
• Coordinate with Compliance and Legal teams to incorporate regulatory requirements and updates into the system template.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation on configurations and workflows; facilitate communication across regional teams.
• Lead end-to-end deployment including system configuration, testing, UAT, and go-live activities.
• Provide support for training, compliance documentation, and ongoing updates.
• Manage change management activities, including governance for system updates and stakeholder training.
• Develop roadmaps, timelines, and escalation plans to ensure timely execution.
• Oversee test script development and system testing; facilitate UAT and address issues prior to rollout.
• Monitor system performance, user feedback, and regulatory changes to identify improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance system efficiency, compliance, and user experience.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery.
• Bring expertise in Trade Controls, linking Automated, Self Service, and Assisted platforms within the Transcend strategy.
• Regularly communicate project updates to Deliver Leadership, Trade Control, Transportation, and Global Trade Compliance teams.

Education / Qualifications

• Minimum of high school or equivalent; bachelor's degree strongly preferred
• Certifications in PMP, FPX, APICS, Lean/Six Sigma, or equivalent project management/process improvement

Experience and Skills

• Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience
• Trade controls experience (processes, systems, sanctions, embargoes, lists)
• Experience with business process design, engineering, or optimization
• Demonstrated project management experience
• Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills; ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills and governance mindset
• People management experience; ability to collaborate in a matrixed environment

Preferred

• Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, or other regulated industry experience
• Experience with large-scale SAP ERP replacement projects
• Experience leading multi-functional decision-making bodies
• Experience deploying standardized work processes, tools, and templates

Other

• Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
• Up to 50% domestic and international travel may be required
• On-site requirement: minimum three days per week, with up to two remote days
