Contract Type: Permanent Post
Contract Hours: Part time Post, 35 hours per week
Salary Scale: €38,107 – €50,953 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to Long Service Increments (LSI). This pay scale is subject to increases in 2025 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement for Section 39 organisations.
Annual Leave Entitlement: 31 days pro rata per annum

Overview of the postThe post holder will work as part of our dedicated Adult Day Services team, providing social care support to adults with physical and/or sensory disabilities, or mild to moderate intellectual disabilities. The post holder will support Service Owners with their needs, goals and activities in accordance with their individual preferences.
Responsibilities- Provide social care support to adults with physical and/or sensory disabilities, or mild to moderate intellectual disabilities, within the Adult Day Services team.
- Support Service Owners with their needs, goals and activities in accordance with individual preferences.
- Hold professional registration, or be eligible for registration, on the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU. See list of recognised qualifications at CORU Approved Qualifications.
- Or have a Schedule 3 qualification. See list of recognised Schedule 3 qualifications.
- Or have a comparable qualification recognised by the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU.
- Or satisfy conditions in Section 91 of the Health and Social Care Professionals Act 2005 and provide proof of application for registration with CORU (evidence of receipt by 30 November 2025).
- Provide proof of statutory registration on the CORU register before contract issuance.
- Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability for proper discharge of the role; maintain annual registration on CORU on appointment.
- Experience in contributing to the development of personal plans; experience and knowledge of the role of a key worker; experience of delivering personal care; experience of assisting adults with medical needs/administering medication; experience of engaging in professional supervision.
- Eligible to work in the State.
- Experience of working with adults and families with physical/sensory/intellectual disabilities.
- Minimum of 1 year post qualification experience relevant to the role.
- Possess a full, clean driving licence.
