Social Care Worker Position in Ireland

Autism Initiatives is seeking a skilled and compassionate Social Care Worker to join our team in Arklow, Co. Wicklow. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals with autism.

The ideal candidate will have a full QQI level 7 Award in Social Care or Applied Social Care/Studies/Practice at degree level and at least 6 months recent experience working as a Social Care Worker supporting people with complex needs.

This is a permanent position with a competitive salary package and excellent benefits, including access to education support scheme, company pension with company contribution, sick pay and health insurance.

  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Hours: 39 hours per week

The successful candidate will be afforded all necessary training and development in line with the role, including a detailed induction before joining the service.

Responsibilities:

As a Social Care Worker, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing person-centred care and support to individuals with autism
  • Developing and implementing individualised support plans
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports
  • Participating in ongoing professional development and training

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A full QQI level 7 Award in Social Care or Applied Social Care/Studies/Practice at degree level
  • At least 6 months recent experience working as a Social Care Worker supporting people with complex needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
