Job Description / Responsibilities
  • Win distribution and drive rate of sale of a portfolio of world-renowned, award-winning spirits brands in the Irish On-Trade and/or Off-Trade through structured selling technique and commercial acumen with activation programmes in key outlets within a territory.
  • Manage a core number of accounts within a territory to deliver the On Trade and/or Off-Trade brand building plan and activation programme (e.g., activation, Perfect Serve, Sampling, Tailored Competitions, Menu Presence, and permanent brand visibility).
  • Meet Key Performance Indicators including Daily Call-Rate, Distribution Growth, Rate of Sale Growth, Volume Targets, and Debt Management.
  • Develop tailored solutions for outlets to achieve preferred partner status and provide expert advice on the Spirits Category using segmentation models.
  • Deliver brand training modules to educate trade professionals and coordinate with Brand Managers/Sales Managers as appropriate.
  • Record outlet information and activation data using required technology and present relevant findings.
  • Manage budgets to deliver KPI targets such as pouring accounts, menu presence, listings, activation, incentives, distribution, NBD growth, and ROS acceleration.
  • Identify opportunities via market intelligence and networking to target the right consumers.
  • Plan and manage daily activities to ensure coverage at key trading times; this may involve evening work and travel within a reasonable distance of the core area.
  • Equip customers to promote the Brand to consumers and develop champions/ambassadors for the brands.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with key wholesalers.
  • Complete all administrative requirements on time and in full.
  • Demonstrate planning, organisation, and initiative in executing activities.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively in both individual and group settings.
  • Deliver high-quality service to internal and external customers.
  • Follow a proven sales method while adapting style as needed.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the business area and its impact on the wider organisation.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to grow skills and maximise potential and career ambitions.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • 1-3 years' experience in sales within the FMCG sector.
  • Experience in alcohol sales is a plus.
  • Broad knowledge of Irish On-Trade & Off-Trade with strong commercial experience, ideally in spirits.
  • Understanding of brand building with a track record of delivering commercial results.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills with ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Experience activating brands in On-Trade and/or Off-Trade.
  • Balance between commercial delivery and brand-building focus.
  • Strong IT skills and ability to use data to interpret insights and build plans.
  • Strong presentation skills with experience delivering trainings.
  • Hospitality industry experience (bartending/mixology) is an advantage.
  • Commercial and financial acumen with ability to build compelling customer propositions that drive brand growth.
