We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Software Developer to join our team based in Ireland.New graduates are welcome to apply, training will be provided.This role includes project management, customer support activities and software development in equal measure.

The successful candidate will be required to work on their own initiative after training but will work closely with a small team of project managers, content developers, quality assurance testers and customers to deliver new solutions for our global customer base.

You will be working with a full stack of technology platforms, including:

  • JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Java, jQuery, AJAX
  • Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 Admin
  • REST API, Webservices, JSON, XML
  • MySQL Servers, Azure DevOps, Git

Key Responsibilities:

  • Taking technical responsibility for developing, maintaining and supporting company products (eLearning courses & the CityREPORTs platform) and working on own initiative to find optimum solutions.
  • Testing co-ordination and releasing of courses to customers on tight deadlines while liaising with customers on release timings.
  • Managing the customer support function, including review and innovation, and delivery of new customer platform (CityREPORTs) training.
  • Working closely with account managers and customer contacts to identify requirements and test scenarios (sales support).
  • Working directly on internal application/technical problems identification and resolution including internal support for remote colleagues on VPN, Office Suite, Sharepoint, email, CRM (Pipedrive), Teams, network/server support & new hire setup.
  • Taking technical responsibility for annual redevelopment of and maintaining/supporting the company website and its inbound traffic.
  • Responsibility for company information security policy updates, and documentation in response to customer requests.
  • Staying current with rapidly changing eLearning technologies, including audio and video.

Experience:

  • A degree or related qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 1-2+ years' experience in software development, IT support, or eLearning technology.
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, including VPN, Office Suite, SharePoint, email, CRM (Pipedrive), Teams, and network/server support.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
