SimoTech require a DeltaV Automation Engineer to join our team, supporting one of our leading pharmaceutical clients based in Cork. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in automation engineering, preferably within the Life Sciences industry. The role involves the design, development and testing of DeltaV code, as well as working with engineers from other disciplines to support projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Creation of automation Functional and Detailed Design documents.
  • Coding of DeltaV Control Modules, Equipment Modules and Phase Classes.
  • Reviewing and testing DeltaV code.
  • Act as point of support for walkthroughs and reviews of code with clients.
  • Commissioning and qualification activities.
  • Production support.
  • Support other teams, such as validation and C&Q, with projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or Life Sciences.
  • Must have 5+ years demonstrated DeltaV batch automation experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical environment.
  • Strong knowledge of S-88 Batch Standard.
  • Ability to interact and communicate with other engineering and business disciplines.
  • Good understanding of GAMP, regulatory requirements and computer system validation.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
