Overview

Cpl Healthcare is excited to announce we have partnered with a client who provides day, residential and respite community-based services using a person-centred approach to meet the needs of adults with intellectual disabilities.

We are currently accepting CVs from experienced Social Care Professionals who wish to work as a Team Leader in an adult disability service in Roscommon.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Team Manager to ensure that services are delivered in an efficient and effective manner within the agreed budget and will be proactive members of the management team.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum Level 7 degree in Social Care or Health Sector e.g. Social Care qualification and current registration or eligibility to register with CORU
  • Appropriate registration in Health and Social Care Management (QQI Level 6) is a necessary requirement of the post.
  • A minimum of 3 years postgraduate relevant experience in leadership and management is desirable.
  • A minimum of three 3 years' post qualification experience, working with people with an Intellectual Disability is essential
  • Demonstrate a clear commitment to community integration and active citizenship for all people with disabilities with experience in the area of human rights and advocacy.
  • Experience of working in the area of autism and behaviours of concern would be an advantage
  • Previous experience of effectively managing a staff team and demonstrating proven ability to pro-actively lead, motivate, empower and achieve results through people is an advantage
  • Proficiency in computer skills and on-line data management systems is also essential.
  • A full clean driving licence with access to own transport.
  • Fluency in verbal and written English is an essential requirement of this post.
  • Practical working knowledge and experience of working within the 2007 Health Act and subsequent HIQA regulations and Standards is highly desirable.
  • Functional Knowledge of New Directions Interim Standards.
  • The successful candidate must be flexible and dynamic individuals who can relate to people in a range of situations
