Dublin, Dublin City, Ireland AXA Ireland Full time
Overview

We are recruiting for an In-house Loss Adjuster position to join our technical property team in AXA Ireland. As an In-House Loss Adjuster in AXA you will join our growing team of property technicians and will be responsible for handling and settling property damage claims directly with our policyholders. This new role will entail conducting site inspections, liaising with various stakeholders, and settling claims fairly, transparently and efficiently. As an All-Ireland role, you will be assigned a specific geographical area for site visits. You will play a crucial role in the Claims function by maintaining effective cost control and delivering exceptional customer service across the AXA property portfolio which includes Household, Farm and Commercial SME policies. In your role as a Loss Adjuster, you will oversee the management and governance of each claim, ensuring adherence to AXA Group standards, the Internal Control Framework, and legal and regulatory requirements within the relevant jurisdiction. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You\'ll work majority of your week away from home. Away from home means either attendance at one of our head office locations, visiting clients, on site inspections or attending industry events.

What You\'ll Be Doing
  • Deliver effective loss adjusting solutions for our property customers as part of the Property Technical team in AXA.
  • Manage a portfolio of claims in a geographical location, including attending site inspections and meeting with stakeholders (policyholders, PLAs, Brokers and solicitors).
  • Conduct onsite inspections to evidence damage and cause and take statements as necessary.
  • Continuously update claimants and manage the claim from start to finish.
  • Provide general loss adjusting advice and guidance on large and complex claims.
  • Collaborate with the AXA Fraud team to identify and investigate suspected fraud, following key protocols and maintaining a ONE AXA approach with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • 6+ years\' experience in adjusting, ideally including large loss and/or complex claims handling.
  • Minimum CIP or Diploma in Competent Insurances (Dip CII) qualification is essential.
  • A Diploma in Loss Adjusting (such as CDip LA, Dip-CILA), MDI, ACII, or a relevant degree (e.g., BSc in Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Engineering, or related fields) is highly desirable.
  • Strong proven technical claims background with knowledge of relevant claims regulatory and legislative environment, with awareness of CPC and CICA 2019, (and FCA regulations in NI Claims where relevant).
  • Experienced and competent negotiator with a pragmatic, hands-on approach to deliver solutions.
  • Strong analytical ability and experience of analysing data and insights to maximise use of MI to deliver on KPIs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with initiative.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to maximise performance delivery of external partners.
  • This role is an allocated Controlled Function under Fitness & Probity Regime, requiring an enhanced level of background screening.
  • You must be eligible and authorized to work in Ireland and/or the United Kingdom.
