Overview

Responsibilities
  • Take accountability for the café and lead the unit; deliver exceptional customer care, meet operational standards to maximise sales and profitability while maintaining costs.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service, appearance, and presentation in the unit.
  • Develop and maintain excellent communication with Senior Management in the store.
  • Provide a fast, friendly, and efficient level of customer service.
  • Prepare and assist with food preparation, set up and merchandising of counters, and take full responsibility for all products from entry to exit.
  • Develop an efficient cleaning schedule to ensure regular and systematic cleaning of the coffee machine and equipment in the restaurant while adhering to hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Monitor and deliver the HACCP programme while ensuring that food safety, food presentation, hygiene, and quality standards are adhered to.
  • Place product orders with agreed suppliers on a daily/weekly basis and be responsible for the control of waste in the unit.
  • Adhere to specifications, standards, and procedures while at work and ensure that staff comply with company policy and procedures.
  • Provide ongoing staff training by continuously motivating and developing the skills of the team.
  • Plan and implement an efficient work schedule for the restaurant to ensure job rotation and flexibility of all staff while maximising their productivity.
  • Address problems as they arise and report them to Store Management.
  • Undertake any practical duties that may arise in an emergency to ensure the smooth running of the Kiosk.
  • Above all else, Café Managers have excellent product knowledge, provide outstanding customer service, and are passionate about coffee.
Qualifications

To apply for this role you must have at least 1 year of previous experience in a similar environment as well as experience with and training on HACCP. You will also have:

  • Experience managing a similar sized restaurant/corporate catering unit.
  • Experience and training on HACCP and Food Safety.
  • An advanced level of English combined with a professional and polite manner.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong desire to work with coffee.
  • Flexibility to work 5 days over 7.
