Cpl in partnership with our client Pfizer are seeking a Sustainable Sourcing Specialist to join the team for a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role offers a hybrid working model.

Roles & Responsibilities with internal focus

  • Drive continuous improvement in supplier engagement KPIs through:
  • Support and update Pfizer spend analysis with the analytics & insights teams quarterly.
  • Identify top Suppliers/CMOs and segment them by procurement categories.
  • Share prioritization with NZ Champions to improve SBTi % and validate commitments at risk.
  • Serve as the point of contact for supplier inquiries regarding the Pfizer NZ program, supplier initiatives, and SBTi.
  • Propose to SEO the evaluation of suppliers requesting "science-aligned" targets outside of SBTi.
  • Elevate GBS/SES profile for NZ through internal training and engagement with site colleagues.
  • Develop and maintain the Supplier Impact team's SharePoint site.
  • Support preparation for ESG supplier summit and SBTi: Call-to-Action events.
  • Create standardized Supplier Engagement Playbooks for sourcing teams and colleagues for use in SRM or RFx discussions.
  • Utilize AI to segment suppliers by emissions, identify key partners for strategic engagement, and track progress.
  • Analyze, summarize, and present information in digestible formats (PPT, Excel, Word).
  • Contribute to discussions on supplier impact strategy and the 2030 roadmap.
  • Coordinate with the broader NZ team (ES Law, SEO, Analytics & Insights) for data presentation, communication, and reporting.
  • Support the execution of the Supplier Impact team budget and maintain detailed cost records.
  • Facilitate procurement processes for supplier engagement initiatives (PRs & POs, supplier contact).
  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies, legal requirements, regulations, and ordinances.
  • Work with the business to fully integrate sustainable sourcing practices within the overall sourcing process.
  • Support global Scope 3 Working Groups and multi-stakeholder initiatives across the ESG portfolio.

Roles & Responsibilities with external focus

  • Manage supplier communication related to externally facing events (SPP, PSCI, Energize, Call-to-Action, etc.).
  • Drive internal and external supplier engagement efforts, including training, workshops, and recognition programs.
  • Engage with PSCI – Subgroup: SBTi as a Service and Energize Program to explore opportunities for Pfizer suppliers and participate in relevant RFI/RFP activities.
  • Oversee SPP initiatives and events, working closely with the peer SPP Pharma co-chair.
  • Support content creation and promotion of SPP, PSCI, and Energize initiatives; review content with suppliers before external publication.
  • Develop new supplier relationships, identify new opportunities, and facilitate consortium sourcing and non-competitive knowledge sharing (e.g., TFS and MyGreen Lab).
  • Stay updated on external best practices and relevant industry changes; communicate updates to leadership.
