Sourcing Specialist - Short-Term Contract Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sourcing Specialist to join our team on a short-term contract basis. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience in procurement and supply chain management.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating procurement activities across various business units, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procure goods and services from external vendors through tendering processes or direct purchasing;
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiate prices, and ensure compliance with company policies;
  • Coordinate logistics and transportation of goods and materials;
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify procurement opportunities and develop cost-saving strategies;
  • Analyze market trends, assess risks, and make informed procurement decisions;
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement efficiency and spend;
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, invoices, and payment receipts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or a related field;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
  • Familiarity with procurement software and systems, such as SAP or similar ERP systems.
