This role is part of the Asset Wealth Management ("AWM") Compliance Advisory team, supporting compliance services related to portfolio management, trading, sales, and marketing within Goldman Sachs Asset Management ("GSAM") in Dublin. The successful candidate will collaborate with business partners, Legal, and Compliance teams to respond to regulatory requests, address compliance queries, enhance compliance programs in response to regulatory reforms, conduct surveillance and forensic reviews, train staff on compliance matters, participate in policy drafting and updates, approve marketing materials, and advise on sales activities.
Experience- Ability to work as part of a global team and lead projects on compliance issues
- Knowledge of asset management risk and compliance functions
- Experience in developing and implementing compliance programs
- Skill in engaging with business personnel and delivering compliance outcomes under time constraints
- Support AWM strategic initiatives from a compliance perspective
- Review and approve financial promotion materials
- Perform daily surveillance of GSAM portfolios to ensure regulatory compliance
- Assist in preparing board reports
- Evaluate new financial instruments and vehicles for compliance and surveillance needs
- Draft and develop compliance policies and procedures
- Log breaches and complaints, ensuring compliance sign-off
- Create and deliver compliance training programs
- Provide compliance advice on global marketing and distribution, including UCITS, Non-UCITS, and cross-border distribution
- Review due diligence on third-party distributors
- Advise on new GSAM fund launches
- Organize and deliver compliance training sessions
- Handle miscellaneous compliance projects as needed
- At least 3 years of regulatory risk or compliance experience, preferably in asset management
- Motivated, risk-aware individual with good judgment
- Knowledge of investment instruments, including derivatives
- Familiarity with CBI, FCA regulations, MiFID, UCITS, AIFMD, and SFDR
- Strong analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail under pressure
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
