About the company

HireIQ are delighted to be working with another highly respected company in the Monaghan area. This is an ideal opportunity for a commercially focused Financial Controller to join this close knit finance team. Reporting into the Finance Director, our client require an experienced Senior Finance Professional to manage the day-to-day of their finance function, playing a hands on role within the business.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial operations.
  • Oversee preparation of weekly and monthly management accounts, including analysis, reconciliations, and Group reporting.
  • Manage the annual budgeting process and monitor performance against targets.
  • Analyse financial data and provide insights to support senior management decision-making.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimise financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with Payroll, HR, and other departments to maintain accurate financial records.
Requirements
  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or other relevant professional certification preferred.
  • Experience in financial management and budget/forecasting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a team and meet deadlines.
