Salary: €45,000 per annum
We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at a busy 4-star property inCork. This is a high-volume, hands-on role ideal for a chef with strong experience in both à la carte and bar food service. The successful candidate will support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen and ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance across all aspects of food preparation and service.

Responsibilities
Support the Head Chef with the day-to-day operations of the kitchen
Lead and motivate the kitchen team to maintain high standards across all service periods
Ensure compliance with food hygiene, safety, and HACCP regulations in line with hotel policy
Oversee the preparation and delivery of high-quality dishes for the à la carte restaurant and bar food menus
Assist in the training and development of both new and existing team members
Maintain consistent food quality that exceeds guest expectations
Contribute creatively to menu planning and dish development alongside senior chefs
Promote a clean, efficient, and well-organised kitchen environment
Requirements
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous in a high-volume kitchen
Demonstrated ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, quality-focused setting
Strong experience with à la carte and bar food service
Thorough understanding of HACCP, food safety, and hygiene protocols
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Passionate about producing quality food and supporting kitchen excellence
