Main Duties:
  1. Arrive for your shift as scheduled on the department rota, wearing the correct uniform.
  2. Ensure subordinates adhere to shift times and procedures.
  3. Control the washing, sorting, and ironing of all linen, including prioritizing and rotating linen as needed.
  4. Ensure all equipment is in working order; report defects to maintenance.
  5. Ensure all laundry assistants are fully trained.
  6. Conduct linen and towel counts bi-weekly.
  7. Inform the Accommodation Manager of any stock shortages.
  8. Participate in the company's customer programme.
  9. Place maintenance calls, log them, and report to the Accommodation Manager.
  10. Use supplies correctly to minimize waste.
  11. Liaise with housekeeping regarding needs or requests.
  12. Familiarize yourself with hotel fire regulations and procedures; report discrepancies such as missing extinguishers.
  13. Take responsibility for the operation of the department and staff during your shift.
What is required of you:
  • Previous laundry experience in 4* or 5* hotels.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Availability to work 5 days out of 7 in full-time employment.
  • Good command of English.
  • A valid work permit.
  • Residing in Ireland.
