Operational Excellence Manager (Manufacturing / Production)

Tipperary

Reporting to: Director of Production

This job will suit a forward-thinking leader and experienced people manager to drive operational and digital transformation within manufacturing operations.

This person will lead a team of 20 skilled engineers and technicians, shaping the company's strategy and delivering measurable impact through innovation, AI, and Lean Six Sigma excellence.

Lead and manage a cross-functional team, including technicians and engineers to achieve operational excellence and sustained improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver large-scale, strategic plant projects, leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, and DMAIC methodologies to drive efficiency and cost savings.
  • Champion digital transformation by implementing AI-driven solutions and advanced analytics to optimise manufacturing and business processes.
  • Drive operational performance improvements through Kaizen events, Line Blow Ups, and the Value Improvement Process (VIP).
  • Collaborate and influence across all organisational levels to shape site strategy and deliver high-value outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and inclusion, while developing and retaining top technical talent.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in senior leadership with strong people management and influencing skills.
  • Hands-on experience delivering innovation through AI and leading digital transformation initiatives.
  • Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to inspire change, engage stakeholders, and deliver results at pace.
