The Mercantile Hotel is now open in the heart of Dublin City, and we're looking for reliable, hardworking and energetic Porters to join our vibrant and growing team. What Youll Be Doing
  • Receiving and sorting linen trolley deliveries and ensuring all items are stored in the correct areas with delivery dockets submitted to the office.
  • Collecting handover from the Supervisor or Manager at the start of each shift and completing daily assigned tasks (e.g. delivering cots, beds, and duvets to designated rooms).
  • Cleaning stayover rooms if assigned.
  • Completing regular floor walks to check pantries and trolleys, restocking linen, bottled water, and amenities where needed.
  • Clearing glassware, crockery, and cutlery from storerooms and returning them to the kitchen.
  • Stripping beds in departure rooms and sorting dirty linen appropriately.
  • Covering absent PA attendants and supporting shift handovers where needed.
  • Clearing any leftover rubbish or cardboard from guest floors.
  • Ensuring all fresh linen is distributed to the correct floors and used linen is left ready for morning collection.
What Were Looking For
  • Previous experience in a hotel or similar hospitality setting is a bonus, but not essential.
  • A strong work ethic and a can-do attitude.
  • Friendly, reliable, and team-oriented.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Good communication skills and ability to take direction.
  • A passion for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
