Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Fresh Food Manager at our Grange location. The Fresh Food Manager will oversee daily operations in the fresh food departments, including produce, deli, meat & fish as well as liaising with our on site production teams ensuring an excellent fresh food offering, customer service and food safety standards. They will be responsible for delivering on department targets (sales and profitability) through effective management of people and operations.

Responsibilities include managing inventory, rostering and training staff, maintaining optimum product range and quality, new product development and ensuring customers needs are met in an efficient manner consistently. The role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail and the ability to train, support and motivate the team and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Minimum of two years experience in a fresh food department
  • Previous experience (minimum 2 years') leading and managing a team of people
  • Customer centric with a positive attitude and passion for fresh food
  • Strong time management and delegation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proven track record of setting goals and achieving KPIs
  • Organised, self-driven, excellent attention to detail and the ability to use one's own initiative
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and excel in a fast-paced working environment
  • Working knowledge of SuperValu/Centra systems is desirable
