About the Company

Our client is a leading food manufacturing company based in Cork, known for high-quality products and a commitment to operational excellence.

The Role

As Shift Production Manager, you will oversee all production operations during the designated shift, managing a team of 20+ staff. You will be the most senior person on site during this period, ensuring smooth operations, meeting production targets, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the evening shift team to achieve production targets.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety, quality, and health & safety regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Manage staff performance, including conducting disciplinaries and addressing HR matters.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Monitor KPIs, report on performance, and implement corrective actions.

Key Requirements

  • Experience in a production management role within the food industry.
  • Strong people management skills, including handling disciplinaries.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as the most senior person on site.
