What you'll do:

• Lead and oversee daily operations of the cleaning (DOC) team on-site.
• Plan and manage staff schedules, ensuring full coverage during absences/holidays.
• Maintain all areas to high cleanliness standards and ensure audit readiness.
• Act as the main point of contact for all DOC-related issues.
• Monitor stock, equipment, and cleaning materials; report and resolve faults.
• Conduct team meetings, performance appraisals, training, and staff development.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, hygiene, COSHH, and site regulations.
• Report incidents, manage safety metrics, and implement corrective actions.
• Recruit, motivate, and support a multicultural team to deliver KPIs.

What you'll bring:

• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry with strong knowledge of GMP standards.
• Proven leadership and people management skills with experience supervising teams.
• Strong organisational, planning, and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• High attention to detail with a results-driven and proactive mindset.
• Ability to resolve problems safely, quickly, and effectively.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment, materials, COSHH, and safety procedures.
• Motivation to continuously improve standards and meet KPIs.
• Responsible, self-motivated, and able to empower and inspire others.
