Overview

Quality Assurance Engineer at Acuity Brands Lighting Canada (Cork, Ireland – On-site). The role focuses on ensuring the quality and reliability of software and systems through rigorous testing, automation, and process improvement. You will design, develop and execute test cases and collaborate across a highly matrixed team of developers, product managers and stakeholders. You will support release management and post-deployment validation, and conduct functional, regression, integration and performance testing.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for software and systems.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
  • Develop and maintain test automation scripts and tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization to ensure quality across the SDLC.
  • Support release management and post-deployment validation.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Relevant experience in test automation tools and programming/scripting languages.
  • Preferred experience using Co-Pilot or other AI applications.
