We invite applications for a Part-Time Night Hatch Attendant to join our team at the Tipperary Town Plaza.

The Plaza Group, which is part of the Supermac's group, operates a number of key locations on busy road networks and motorways. It incorporates Supermac's, Papa John's, Supersubs, Macs Place Deli, Retail Convenience Shop, together with customer seating, and all the usual motorway facilities for leisure, business, and truck commuters, with ample parking and services.

PLEASE NOTE: Night Hatch Attendant - 11 pm to 7 am. This position requires full flexibility to work nights.

Training will commence immediately."Due to the nature of the job, candidates must be over 20 years old."

Job Purpose

To assist the Retail & Forecourt Manager in supervising the site and operations therein during the nighttime period. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure the hatch is manned at all times
  • When required, ensure the effective induction and training of any new nighttime employees.
  • To communicate operational matters to daytime staff, give a proper handover if issues are outstanding.
  • Ensure that high-quality and consistent customer service is provided at all times.
  • To carry out any nighttime duties regarding cleaning or servicing of equipment – coffee machines, etc, in keeping with procedure to ensure top quality products to our customers whilst conducting various stocking up duties during quiet periods, together with cleaning of tea/coffee machines and support duties during quieter times
  • Assist the retail and forecourt manager in the effective management of the retail store and forecourt, in particular, communicating any customer requests at night, and bringing forward any new ideas for improving the service we offer.
  • To ensure potential hazards in the store are identified and reduced, or where possible, removed/eliminated.
  • To assist the manager in minimising stock loss through wastage, damages, and pilferage while ensuring food management and waste systems are adhered to.
  • Ensure the store is merchandised in a customer-friendly and competitive manner, ensuring compliance with company procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure stock is rotated appropriately to ensure in-date stock is available.

The Shop will be closed to the public; however, limited services will be offered by you via the night hatch.
