About the RoleAs we expand our services to meet the needs of those we care for, we currently have opportunities within our Orchard Community Care division in County Leitrim, including this key role of Person in Charge. The purpose of the role is to provide the highest standards of support to service users and ensure compliance with Government and HSE policies. The Manager will work autonomously and with initiative, preferably with experience working with autism. They will act as the Person in Charge, ensuring compliance with Department of Health Regulations and HIQA Standards.
Salary range: €52,000 - €60,000 based on experience. The role is supernumerary, attracts a bonus based on achievement of objectives, additional on-call allowance per weekend on call, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, and 10 days public holidays per annum.
Essential Criteria- A minimum of 3 years in a management or supervisory role in health or social care.
- A professional degree (minimum NQF level 7 or QCF Level 6) in Applied Social Studies or relevant qualification.
- NQF Level 6 (or QCF level 5) management qualification.
- Proven track record managing residential services meeting quality and legislative requirements.
- Experience in report writing, support plans, and team management.
- Full current driving license with access to a vehicle in Ireland.
- Excellent IT skills and knowledge of legislative/regulatory responsibilities.
- Lead on shift, participate in direct care, assess needs, and develop care plans.
- Ensure implementation of care interventions and monitor outcomes.
- Assist in training and orienting new team members, organize training programs.
- Maintain accurate documentation, monitor completion, and ensure compliance.
- Implement quality improvement initiatives and conduct audits.
- Foster a positive, collaborative work environment and promote effective communication.
This role requires flexibility in working hours, participation in on-call support, and a proactive approach to safety and well-being.
