Overview

Care Assistant (Disability Services) 6482 – Permanent Part-time position based in Ashford, Wicklow. This opportunity is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants. External advertisement by Autism Initiatives Ireland.

Location & Information

Health region: HSE Dublin and South East. Location: Ashford. County: Wicklow. Contract type: Permanent Part-time. 12 hours per week minimum.

Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred support in accordance with the person's care plans and PCP.
  • Support individuals with complex needs, delivering planned activities and supports under the guidance of the key worker.
  • Programme planning and implementation in line with the person-centred plans.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with service users, families, and the care team.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Qualifications: A full QQI Level 5 Health Care Qualification is essential (e.g., health, community, care sector).
  • Essential: Genuine passion for providing person-centred support.
  • Skills: Ability to work on own initiative; understanding of the role and philosophy of support for people with complex needs; ability to plan and implement Person-Centred Plans; place the needs of the person central in all activities; fluent English; excellent communication skills.
  • Desirable: Full, clean driving licence.
