Overview

We are seeking a passionate Assistant Bar Manager for our Bar & Restaurant just 15 minutes outside Dublin City Centre.

This position requires a combination of strong leadership skills, industry knowledge, and excellent customer service abilities with a passion for high end beverage offerings.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in hiring, training, and supervising bar staff, including bartenders, barbacks, and servers.
  • Schedule shifts and manage staff attendance, ensuring adequate coverage during busy periods.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering and receiving supplies, monitoring stock levels, and controlling costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, as well as liquor licensing laws.
  • Collaborate with the Bar Manager to develop and implement standard operating procedures to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Lead by example in providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Interact with customers, take orders, and serve drinks when necessary.
  • Ensure prompt and accurate billing, handle cash transactions, and reconcile daily sales reports.
  • Work closely with the Bar Manager to develop and implement promotional activities to increase sales and attract new customers.
  • Assist in organizing and conducting training sessions for staff members on topics such as mixology, product knowledge, and customer service.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and developments, and share relevant information with the team.
The ideal candidate
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years Supervisory/Management experience in a busy Bar/Restaurant/Hotel
  • A hands on Manager who leads by example
  • Desire to train and motivate staff at all levels
  • Exceptional customer service standards
  • Proven ability to drive Revenue through various sales techniques and promotions
  • Excellent knowledge of Cocktails, Wines and Liquor
