• Lead requirements-gathering workshops with clients, supporting the definition, elicitation, and prioritisation of requirements.
• Review and refine requirements, specifications, business processes, and recommendations for proposed solutions.
• Develop functional specifications and system design specifications.
• Ensure consistency and traceability between user requirements, functional specifications, and testing/validation through the use of Requirements Traceability Matrices and Functional Designs.
• Collaborate closely with technical teams during implementation to ensure alignment, agreement, and effective delivery of projects.
• Validate solutions to confirm they are fit for business purpose.
• Design scenarios for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and facilitate end-user testing.
• Develop and execute test cases as required, including smoke testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), and shift-left UAT.
• Identify, track, and report test defects, ensuring timely resolution.
• Provide UAT support throughout all testing phases to confirm solutions meet requirements and are ready for release.
• Build strong relationships with client stakeholders by being proactive, demonstrating thorough business understanding, and delivering timely, accurate communication (written and verbal).
• Apply data modelling practices to analyse findings and recommend strategic and operational improvements.
• Support business functions by gathering and analysing data to establish or refine requirements, processes, procedures, and policies.
• Identify and analyse problems and potential improvements, recommending and implementing effective solutions.
• Perform data analysis to support project delivery.
• Carry out additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Technical Writing: Proven ability to accurately capture and document information.
• Problem Solving: Skilled at facilitating a shared understanding of issues and proposing effective solutions.
• Documentation: Capable of producing clear, concise, and accurate documentation.
• Business Analysis: Extensive experience in gathering, analysing, and testing requirements.
• Methodologies: Experience working with both Waterfall and Agile delivery approaches.
• Certification: Recognised certification in Business Analysis.
• Industry Knowledge: Demonstrable experience in the Utilities sector or a comparable industry.
• Data & Tools Expertise: Advanced MS Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, macros) and strong data manipulation capabilities.
• Independence & Organisation: Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities, with sound judgment at all times.
• Process Design: Solid experience in preparing and facilitating process design workshops and producing associated documentation.
• Functional Design & Testing: Proven ability to prepare functional design documents and test scripts.
• Data Modelling: Strong background in data modelling techniques and tools.
