Job Description: Customer Assistant at Lidl

Join our team as a Customer Assistant and help us deliver a fantastic customer journey at Lidl, from our Head Office to the shop floor and beyond. We are looking for individuals who are customer-obsessed, energetic, and eager to learn every day.

Role Details:

You will work across various shifts and tasks, collaborating with different colleagues. Please note that selling alcohol is part of the role, so applicants must be 18 or over.

Shift Patterns:

  • Morning shift: Starting at 5am or 6am, stocking shelves and preparing bakery products for opening.
  • Middle shift: Starting mid-morning or early afternoon, maintaining store presentation, assisting customers, and working on tills.
  • Late shift: Starting in the afternoon, serving customers, restocking, and preparing the store for the next day.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing friendly and helpful customer service
  • Following stock loss controls
  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
  • Managing waste appropriately
  • Assisting with stock counts

Requirements:

  • A positive attitude and excellent customer service skills
  • Responsibility and reliability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player mentality
  • Previous customer-facing experience is preferred but not essential
