The Role:

As an Aircraft Cleaning Operative at Sky Handling Partner, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation for our aircraft. Collaborating closely with your colleagues across various departments, as well as with airline representatives at Dublin Airport, teamwork is essential for ensuring efficient service delivery.

In this dynamic environment, you'll be responsible for performing a range of cleaning tasks that contribute to passenger comfort and safety. By communicating effectively with your team and responding proactively to any operational challenges, you will help create a seamless travel experience for passengers while providing outstanding service to our airline clients. Your commitment to excellence will ensure that every flight is ready for take-off, ensuring customer comfort and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

· Professional Cleaning: Perform all cleaning tasks in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and customer service are met.

· Carpet Maintenance: Vacuum carpets and wipe down drop tables to maintain a tidy and presentable cabin environment.

· Galley Cleaning: Utilize prescribed cleaning agents to thoroughly clean galleys (kitchen areas), ensuring hygiene and compliance with safety regulations.

· Rubbish Removal: Efficiently remove rubbish from the aircraft and ensure proper disposal in accordance with environmental policies and procedures.

· Toilet Maintenance: Clean and restock aircraft toilets, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and availability for passenger use.

· In-Flight Amenities: Place magazine packs in seat pockets and replace headrest covers to enhance the passenger experience.

· Security Checks: Remaining observant for suspicious items and reporting any concerns to the appropriate authorities.

· Team Lead Coverage: Be prepared to cover the Team Lead role as needed to ensure seamless operations and team support.

· Facility Reporting: Report any facility service defects, such as plumbing issues, to ensure timely maintenance and safety.

In addition to performing your duties, you'll maintain open lines of communication with your supervisor and colleagues, ensuring that any issues are addressed promptly and collaboratively.

Essential Criteria·

· Minimum Age Requirement 18 Years: Applicants must be at least 18 years old. This ensures compliance with legal working age regulations and is crucial for roles that may require driving or other age-sensitive responsibilities.

· Ability to complete a 5-Year Security Background Check and Garda Vetting Process: Successful candidates will be required to undergo a thorough security background check covering the past five years. This process, including Garda vetting, is essential to ensure the safety and security of our operations and to comply with industry regulations.

· Eligible to Live and Work in the E.U.: Candidates must have the legal right to live and work in the European Union. This ensures compliance with employment laws and enables seamless integration into our diverse workforce.

· Proficient Written and Verbal English Language Skills: Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English is essential for effective communication within the team and with clients. This includes the ability to understand instructions, convey information clearly, and maintain professional standards in documentation.

· Ability to Work Rostered Shifts and Flexibility: The role requires you to work on a shift basis, which may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility is crucial, as operational needs can change due to flight delays or increased passenger demand. Your willingness to adapt to these changes helps maintain smooth operations and enhances the overall customer experience.

· Physical Capability: Candidates must possess the physical ability to perform tasks that require significant twisting, turning, and bending, particularly in confined spaces. This includes the dexterity to navigate around equipment in bust environments, as well as the strength and stamina to lift and handle items as needed.

· Excellent Punctuality and Attendance: Reliability is key in this role, as punctuality directly impacts the overall efficiency of airport operations and the experience of our passengers. Your consistent attendance and commitment to being on time contribute to the team's success and ensure that all scheduled services run smoothly.

· Adherence to SHP Grooming & Uniform Standards: Candidates must be committed to maintaining a professional appearance in line with SHP's grooming and uniform standards. Desirable Criteria

  • Operational Experience: Previous experience in an operational environment will be beneficial for adapting to the demands of the role.
  • Full Clean Driving Licence, Category B: A valid driving licence in Category B is required, with a clean driving record to ensure safe operation of vehicles on site.
  • Manual Handling Certificate: A valid certificate in manual handling is a plus, demonstrating knowledge of safe lifting techniques.

The role of Aircraft Appearance Operative is a fixed term, temporary contract, featuring a probation period of six months to ensure a good fit for both you and our team. We offer a competitive rate of pay for this role at €14.50 (inclusive) per hour.

While the standard hours of the contract are 20 hours per week, flexibility is essential as you may be required to work additional hours in response to operational needs, including aircraft delays or other disruptions. Shift lengths can vary between 4 and 10 hours, and will include early starts and late finishes, allowing for a dynamic work environment.
