Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced IT Security Officer to join our IT Security Team. This is a full-time, permanent role based in FBD House, Bluebell. The role reports to the Chief Information Security Officer.

Job Responsibilities
  • Engineer, implement, and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information.
  • Identify and define system security requirements.
  • Design computer security architecture and develop detailed cybersecurity designs.
  • Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols.
  • Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
  • Participate in Security Incident management, including leading meetings to address issues.
  • Write comprehensive reports including assessments, outcomes, and proposals for security enhancements.
  • Assist with Security awareness initiatives, including training, material development, and presentations at town halls and to senior management.
  • Report to senior management, maintain risk control registers, and support external and internal audits.
Education
  • CISSP or CISM certification and other security qualifications.
  • Qualifications in Azure/O365 and other security-related certifications.
Experience
  • Proven experience as a Security Engineer or Information Security Architect.
  • In-depth knowledge of Azure/O365 security practices.
  • Experience with email security tools, data classification, and DLP technology.
  • Familiarity with web technologies, protocols, and web services.
  • Experience in building and maintaining security systems.
  • Strong knowledge of database and OS security.
  • Scripting experience in a Windows environment is an advantage.
  • Understanding of security principles, techniques, and protocols.
  • Knowledge of PCI, EIOPA, DORA regulations.
  • Experience working in regulated environments and with third-party infrastructure providers.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO27001 and Cobit.
  • Problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure, and excellent communication skills.
  • Negotiation skills, motivation, results-focus, and team spirit.
  • People management skills and ability to present to C-suite executives.
Additional Information

This role is within the Manager/Specialist pay grade in the IT department.
