Overview

Senior Mechanical Engineer role at Siemens Healthineers. Responsibilities
  • Proven experience in the design and development of high-precision automated electro-mechanical systems
  • Integration of electromechanical sub-assemblies into complex systems, which may include fluidics, optics, sensing, electronics and software elements
  • Experienced CAD designer with good product lifecycle management (PLM) knowledge
  • Deliver technical solutions to enhance product reliability and process capability
  • LEAN/Six Sigma practices and principles to develop reliable robust designs (DOE, DFSS, Reliability testing)
  • Additional experience that is advantageous: Siemens NX and Teamcenter experience; knowledge of simulation packages (CFD, FEA) for modelling and design maturity; GD&T and applicable standards; translating system requirements into robust design solutions with detailed design specifications; practical experience of supplier or manufacturing fabrication processes (moulding, machining, casting, coating); knowledge of material properties; providing technical support across the engineering value chain; control systems engineering knowledge (tuning motors, PID control); experience with Machinery Directive, CE Marking and other safety standards; Verification and Validation experience.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation or equivalent (Minimum QQI level 8) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience; consideration given to individuals with alternative degrees balanced by relevant technical experience
  • High pace, ownership mindset, accountability and responsibility with a track record of delivering solutions from concept to implementation
  • Ability to make informed key decisions to drive the business forward
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills; experience in coaching and mentoring team members
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
