Network Data & Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) Key Responsibilities: Network Security Operations: Develop and implement secure network architectures (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS). Ensure compliance with security standards (ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS). Threat Management: Detect, analyze, and mitigate network vulnerabilities. Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and resolution. Policy and Compliance: Establish and enforce security policies and procedures. Conduct security audits and assessments. Technical Expertise: Manage security tools (firewalls, SIEM, DLP, endpoint protection). Optimize network security with minimal disruption. Collaboration & Training: Work with cross-functional teams to integrate security into operations. Provide technical training and mentorship. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for network security configurations. Required Skills and Qualifications: Experience: 8+ years in network security, with at least 3 years as an SME. Certifications (Preferred): CISSP, CISM, CEH, CCNP Security, or equivalent. Mandatory: CCNP Certification. Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, Hands-on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, cloud security (Azure). Proficiency in security tools (Wireshark, Metasploit, Kali Linux). Strong analytical and communication skills. Network Data Operations: Design & Deployment: Configure and deploy LAN/WAN, wireless, and SD-WAN solutions. Implement advanced routing & switching (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs). Performance Optimization: Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot network performance. Optimize configurations for scalability, reliability, and security. Technical Leadership: Serve as SME for network data-related issues. Align network solutions with business requirements. Security & Compliance: Ensure compliance with security standards and manage firewalls, VPNs. Documentation & Training: Maintain network documentation and mentor junior engineers. Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors for procurement, support, and troubleshooting. Experience & Skills: 5+ years in enterprise network design & management. Hands-on expertise with Cisco routers, switches, wireless solutions. Strong knowledge of routing protocols, network monitoring tools, SD-WAN, MPLS, QoS. Understanding of network security (ACLs, VPNs, firewalls). Skills: Firewalls Networking Data Security
