Job description What you need to know Our client, a well-established manufacturing company inCo. Roscommonare currently seeking anEnvironmental Health & Safety Officer to join their team. TheEnvironmental Health & Safety Officer will actively foster a safe and positive workplace, advising and supporting all areas of the organisation on environmental, health, safety, and welfare matters for site personnel. This is a permanent position. Your new job Key Duties & Responsibilities: Drive continuous improvement initiatives in EHS across the site. Manage and maintain the ISO14001 Environmental Management System. Provide senior management with regular EHS reports, KPIs, and key metrics. Develop and deliver EHS training for all employees, contractors, and visitors. Coordinate environmental programs focused on energy reduction, waste management, and more. Identify and address site-specific EHS issues and maintain effective document control. Ensure EHS policies, procedures, and safety statements comply with regulations. Manage accident and incident processes, including investigations and corrective actions. Lead the risk assessment program and promote a strong EHS culture through training and awareness. Represent the company in external audits and inspections, ensuring compliance. What are we looking for? Bachelors degree (Level 7/8) in Environmental Health & Safety or a related field. At least 2 years experience in a medical device manufacturing or engineering role (preferred). Effective team player, able to collaborate with colleagues across all departments. Strong organizational skills to plan, prioritize, and manage daily tasks effectively. Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication skills.
