Senior React Developer - Data Products Are you an experienced React developer, with a passion for innovation and client-centric solutions? What the day will look like Working in a fully Agile Scrum team, you will be exposed to a diverse range of technologies and like-minded people, all with the same mission - to drive the development of innovative data products for our clients. The main responsibilities will be: Building and refining Single Page Applications (SPAs) - with a focus on shipping well delivered experiences, that our clients "want to use every day" Working with Product Managers and Designers on the vision, design, requirements, and delivery of the product Developing a thorough understanding of the functional and non-functional requirements of the application, how customers use it, and how best to serve these needs Collaborating with data scientists, data engineers, machine learning engineers - a number of these products leverage recent advances in AI and machine learning, and this team is key to bringing these developments to life as actionable features Contributing to design, build, test & maintenance activities and be genuinely motivated by delivering solutions and issue resolutions to our business Developing and maintain CI/CD pipelines as code Welcome the opportunity to assist and spread knowledge to other members of the team Support QA in testing products and resolving found issues. Skills and experience that will lead to success The successful Senior Developer must have: Strong experience (minimum of 5 years) in React with Typescript and its ecosystem, including hooks, context API, Webpack, Babel, ESLint and other tools for code quality and performance Previous client-facing or consultancy experience in the field is required In addition, experience that would be interesting to see: A passion for learning new technologies and solving complex problems Component-Based Architecture - Strong understanding of reusable component creation and the principles of component-based architecture Performance Optimization - Techniques for optimizing React applications, including lazy loading, memoization, and performance profiling CSS-in-JS - Familiarity with CSS-in-JS solutions like styled-components, Emotion, or traditional CSS preprocessors like SASS and LESS Backend Integration - Experience with integrating to RESTful APIs Responsive Design and Cross-Browser Compatibility - Ensuring responsive design practices and cross-browser compatibility Testing Frameworks - Experience with testing tools like Jest, Enzyme, React Testing Library, and end-to-end testing frameworks like Cypress Security Best Practices - Understanding of web application security principles and best practices, including XSS, CSRF, and other vulnerabilities An interest in software development, staying up to date with current trends and able to translate those into solutions A degree in computer science, engineering or a related field.
