In this role, you will empower a team of Airfield Operative Specialists to ensureeffective and efficient delivery of planned, reactive and emergency maintenance on a diverse range of airfield & landside infrastructural assets at Dublin Airport. The role is a shift-based role. Champion your team's optimal performance by upholding Quality Assurance (QA) Standards, managing schedules, attendance and leave, PRP (performance matters) sessions, health and safety adherence and fostering a culture of continuous personal and professional growth Active promotion of health and safety and safe working practices amongst all Asset Management staff and third party contractors Work closely with the wider airfield asset management leadership team to provide support services, efficiencies, continuous improvement initiatives and ideas to maintain and improve all applicable assets across the campus Take ownership to ensure that the highest quality and standards of maintenance and repairs are adhered to by the team and ensuring that all required QA information is maintained Support the monitoring of all Asset Management airfield infrastructure and assets to ensure the safe and efficient operation of Dublin Airport in compliance with all regulatory requirements In conjunction with system planners, ensure optimal use of resources, schedule and close out work orders in the most efficient and safe and effective manner, ensuring that all RAMs, Methodologies etc are adhered to Lead and assist in planned asset inspections and recording of defects to the relevant system managers Actively raise, schedule and complete w/os on the Asset Management CMMS Lead up closures of Airfield infrastructure e.g., taxiways, runways, grasslands, and restricted areas etc. for Maintenance Activities in conjunction with Airside Operations (AOSO/SDM). Lead up specialist semi-skilled maintenance repairs of asphalt and concrete pavements on the airports entire civil infrastructure asset base, capturing all associated QA records of such repairs Lead up and assist in planning the maintenance of the airfield grasslands and ensuring the visibility of airfield signs and lights, in compliance with wildlife management plans and health, safety, EASA regulation and security policies. Operate plant and equipment to maintain all airfield grasslands and hedgerows and carry out all chemical spraying and trimming to ensure its continuous healthy condition of the airfield. Manage and oversee snow and ice control through the application of specialised anti-icing/de-icing chemicals and operating heavy snow removal equipment during winter operations (20+ weeks of the year). Support airfield snow manager in all aspects of the winter and snow clearing activities. Maintain storm water drainage systems at Dublin Airport through cleaning, maintenance and assisting specialized contractors. Maintain perimeter/boundary fences, gates, and road safety equipment (barriers and other traffic control devices). Lead the operative specialist team in assisting with Dublin Airports Aircraft recovery plan, for the safe recovery of disabled aircraft on a 24/7 and 365 days a year basis Provide escort driving to external contractors when required throughout the Airfield. FAS Safe Pass Accreditation. Experience in operating Heavy machinery. Full clean C1 Licence Driver holder. 2 years Airfield Telephony Proficiency. Experience of working in a highly regulated safety critical environment. Experience or similar experience in the provision of winter maintenance skills and operating heavy equipment in a live airport operational environment. Ability to safely operate construction repair equipment, power tools and hand tools relevant construction site experience. Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with Team Members. The role is a physical role requiring persons to be physically fit to carry out physical work activities. The role will involve outdoor working in sometimes challenging and demanding environment.
