School Manager, UCD School of English, Drama and Film

Applications are invited for a permanent post of a School Manager within UCD School of English, Drama and Film. The School of English, Drama and Film is a large, dynamic, research-active School which is home to four subjects - English, Drama, Film and Creative Writing - approximately sixty full-time staff, and approximately one thousand four hundred students on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The post holder is responsible for providing administrative leadership to the School, leading the administrative team in the management and operation of academic programmes, working closely with the Head of School, Heads of Subjects, and School Executive, to direct and deliver administrative support across the whole range of the School's activities. The post holder builds and maintains strong working relationships with a wide range of units in UCD, including the College and Programme Offices, UCD Finance, UCD HR, UCD Registry, UCD Global, UCD Communications, and others where necessary, and provides specialist advice and support to School staff on University systems, policies and procedures. She/he/they also has a key role in terms of the School's commitment to students in managing and delivering an excellent front-line service of advice, support and guidance to students, especially in relation to registration, assessment, timetabling, feedback, and University support services.
