As Manager, Technology Talent & Workforce Optimisation, you will play a pivotal role in delivering key initiatives that build and strengthen the capabilities of our Technology teams ? ensuring we can delivery on PTSBs ambitions as a modern Challenger bank. This role focuses on driving the execution of workforce initiatives that enable out people to grow and thrive, while ensuring we have the right Technology capabilities in place to accelerate our Digital transformation and adopt a Value Stream based operating model. You will lead key programs that support our strategic workforce priorities ? including internal talent mobility, career pathway development, targeted reskilling, and Learning & Development programmes. A major focus of this this role is enabling career movement and capability growth across our Technology teams through well designed internal mobility programs, skills development initiatives and active workforce communications. You will also play a visible role help to shape a vibrant, collaborate Technology culture. Working closely with Technology leaders and HR, you will lead activities that promote learning, career growth and engagement ? ensuring out people are informed, connected and inspired by the opportunities available to them. This is a highly collaborative and people focussed role ? ideal for someone passionate about growing Technology talent, enabling career progression, and contributing to the Banks success through workforce capability development. Responsibilities: Workforce Planning & Technology Skills Analysis Lead the assessment and analysis of Technology workforce skills and capabilities across key disciplines such as Software Engineering, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Digital, Data & AI, Core Platforms, and Infrastructure. Partner with Technology leaders to identify technical skill gaps and emerging capability needs. Internal Talent Mobility Leadership Lead internal talent mobility activities within Technology, including reskilling, redeployment, and career pathways programs. Partner with Technology leaders and HR to identify internal mobility opportunities and support succession planning. Learning & Development (L&D) Delivery Deliver and continuously improve Learning & Development programs for Technology teams, aligned to capability needs and strategic priorities. Coordinate Technology learning programs in partnership with HR, Technology leaders, and external providers. Lead an Inspiring Culture Support the design and delivery of Technology-wide culture and engagement initiatives, including leadership forums, colleague development events, and engagement campaigns. Promote a strong learning and growth culture, encouraging adoption of internal mobility, upskilling, and new ways of working. Risk Management & Governance Ensure adherence to Technology risk and governance processes when delivering workforce initiatives, including internal mobility, learning programs, and workforce planning activities. Identify and escalate risks or issues related to workforce initiatives, including gaps in processes or controls. Stakeholder Collaboration & Engagement Collaborate with Technology leaders, HR Business Partners, Finance, and other stakeholders to deliver workforce initiatives, including workforce planning, internal talent mobility, learning programs, and engagement activities. Build strong working relationships to ensure alignment of workforce initiatives with broader Technology and organisational goals. Requirements: Minimum of 5 years? experience in workforce planning, internal talent mobility, learning & development, or workforce strategy within a large Technology function. Proven experience in delivering internal talent mobility programs, including career pathways, redeployment, and reskilling initiatives within Technology. Experience coordinating workforce skills analysis and capability mapping, using Technology frameworks such as SFIA or similar. Strong background in delivering Technology-focused Learning & Development programs, including digital learning platforms (e.g., Pluralsight, Cloud Academy, LinkedIn Learning). Demonstrated ability to coordinate Technology workforce communications and engagement initiatives. Strong collaboration skills, with experience partnering across Technology, HR, and Finance teams.
