Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer

Description:
We are hiring for our client, an innovative automation solutions provider, who wishes to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer for a full-time, permanent position based in Mullingar. This Electrical Design Engineer role will focus on designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems and components for advanced industrial machinery. The successful Electrical Design Engineer will collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to ensure designs meet project specifications, safety standards, and performance requirements.

The Role:

- Design and develop electrical systems for industrial machinery, including integration with pneumatic components and circuits

- Create detailed electrical and pneumatic schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings using EPLAN software

- Select suitable components and materials according to project requirements and industry standards

- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure technical and functional compliance

- Conduct risk assessments and guarantee adherence to electrical safety regulations

- Provide hands-on technical support during installation, commissioning, and testing

- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues to enhance system performance

- Maintain comprehensive documentation including drawings, manuals, and technical specifications

The Person:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related discipline

- Proven experience as an Industrial Electrical Designer or similar role, with exposure to pneumatic systems

- Proficiency with CAD software for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN)

- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and industrial automation principles

- Familiarity with relevant electrical safety standards (NEC, IEC, etc.)

- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

- Strong communication and teamwork abilities

- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively
