Senior Quality Officer

We are currently seeking to recruit a Senior Quality Officer to join our Quality Department in Eurofins Biomnis in Sandyford, Dublin 18. Training and development support will be provided to help progression within the organisation.
Hours per week: 35. This role is on-site in Sandyford (not hybrid).

Responsibilities

Maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) and support the existing Quality team.

Ensure the laboratory and Logistics division operate within ISO 15189, ISO 9001, and Eurofins Group policies, plus relevant regulatory requirements.

Conduct internal audits and participate in external audits as directed by the Quality Manager.

Adhere to the internal audit schedule and prepare/submit documentation to external bodies (e.g., INAB, NSAI) in advance of audits.

Provide quality direction, oversight, and continual improvement for new and existing processes and systems.

Carry out QMS and Q-Pulse training for staff as required.

Assist in development/management of KPIs, CAPA, complaints, audit findings, and non-conforming reports.

Review and approve assay and equipment verifications per regulatory requirements.

Support document control and maintenance of Q-Pulse modules; participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Prepare for Annual Management Review Meetings and external audits in conjunction with the QA Manager.

Use Laboratory Information Management Systems and support change management within defined procedures.

Foster knowledge sharing within the Quality team.

Qualifications
Education

3rd level qualification in Quality Assurance and/or a science discipline relevant to medical testing laboratories.

Experience

Minimum 4 years Quality Assurance experience in a clinical diagnostic laboratory or similar role; combination of medical laboratory experience and QA experience will be considered.

Strong knowledge of ISO 15189 and ISO 9001; CAPA management, internal audits, verification of examination methods, and risk management (minimum 2 years).

Awareness of INAB requirements for ISO 15189:2022 laboratories; experience with Q-Pulse is an advantage.
